Overview of TA1C at IberLEF 2025: Detecting and Spoiling Clickbait in Spanish-Language News
Resumen
We present the results of the TA1C (for Te Ahorré Un Click, Spanish for Saved You A Click) shared task at IberLEF 2025 about clickbait detection and spoiling in Spanish. The competition comprised two tasks: clickbait detection (classifying whether a news teaser is clickbait) and spoiling generation (answering the implicit question posed on the clickbait) on Spanish tweets. We release a corpus of 4,200 manually annotated Spanish tweets for detection and another corpus with 500 manually written spoilers. We summarize the participating systems and their performance, which reached up to 0.82 F1-score for detection and up to 3.88 (on a 1-to-5 scale) in the manual evaluation of Accuracy/Completeness for spoiling.
